1995

The 1995 Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show was a total sell-out of indoor and outdoor exhibit spaces. Promotions enhanced attendance and maintained the high calibre of events that exhibitors and visitors alike had come to expect. Exhibitors came from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the USA. Despite poor weather conditions, an estimated attendance of 4800 took part in the Show.

The Saskatchewan Oilman of the Year Award was presented to Mr. Dale Timmons of Grad &Walker Energy Corporation.

The Hall of Fame Inductees were Mr. Matt Baldwin of Grizzley Ledcor, Mr. Daryl Birnieof Inland Oil & Gas, Mr. Vern Lyons of Lynx Energy Services, Mr. Bob Peterson of Imperial Oil Limited and Mr. Royce Reichert of Badge Services Ltd.

The SE Saskatchewan Oilman of the Year Award was presented to Mr. Ray Frehlick of Prairie Mud & Chemical / Prairie Petro-Chem.

In 1995 the Board of Governors, sponsors of the Saskatchewan Oil Patch Awards, established a new award to recognize individuals not directly involved in the industry but who make a significant contribution to the industry. The first Friend of the Industry Awardwas presented to Mr. Ron Jeffery of Prairie Agencies Ltd.
